As the Natural Areas Project Manager, you will provide project management and ecological restoration expertise for capital projects within natural area parks and The City's Ecological Network. You will support multiple City departments to achieve environmental, biodiversity, and climate targets by using restoration best practices and science-based decision-making to restore and enhance natural areas. Primary duties include:
Lead multiyear delivery of small to large-scale ecological restoration and natural areas capital projects.
Oversee all phases of natural areas project delivery, including assessment, planning, design, procurement, construction, consulting, contract management, and financial management.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams comprised of external consultants and contractors, internal service providers, technical subject matter experts, and summer student technicians.
Provide specialized subject matter expertise across multiple business units on ecological restoration and natural areas management best practices.
Oversee public engagement and communications related to project updates, with audiences including community associations, Council offices, businesses, and other interest groups.
