Job Purpose: ViiV is seeking an experienced, strategic First Line Leader in Specialty Sales for the position of National Sales Manager (NSM) \xe2\x80\x93 Oral (Dovato). The role requires the ability to lead, inspire and coach our field sales team in an effort to build strong, strategic, partnerships with our key external stakeholders and ensure flawless execution of the brand strategy and strategic Key Account Plans. It is expected that the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing strategic Business Plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives in accordance with national and territory level goals. This leadership role is also responsible for building field sales competencies and capabilities enabling the teams to provide unmatched patient & customer value through the creation of meaningful business relationships and by providing science-based solutions of our brands. This is accomplished through effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring, and demonstrating strong strategic and critical thinking. This role is required to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the relevant internal stakeholders This role may be based out of our Ontario or Quebec locations.   • Set the tone and culture for a High performing team
  • Deliver and adapt execution plans to achieve performance goals and objectives utilizing; KPIs, scaling of successes, business problem solving, etc.
  • Develop and foster external relationships with key influential customers and thought leaders managing a Performance and Engagement Culture
  • Ensure optimal coverage of all key stakeholders
  • Provide adequate training, coaching, follow-up and development of sales representatives in all phases of their work including career development
  • Managing the business and driving Performance by developing and executing Account plans to maximize brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Align and execute on business strategy \xe2\x80\x93 marketing, market access pull-through, multi-channel customer engagement, and employee development, to deliver exceptional results
  • Participate as member of internal strategic cross functional team, providing field insights to help drive brand strategies and tactics
  • Prioritize and customize Regional (People and Promotion) in a manner which maximizes top and bottom-line growth of the local market based upon identified opportunities as a result of evolving business environment.
  • Understand and Integrate National & Regional healthcare ecosystem opportunities, risk and trends into business plans. to maximize success
  • Role model ViiV Culture Pillars and manage change by leading through transitions with inspiration and high engagement.
  • Implement corrective action as appropriate to meet business needs and improve performance.
  • Compliance Accountabilities and Values Based Culture
  • Identify and manage risks, while allocating resources and executing on priorities.
  • Escalate issues and risks and inform centrally when needed; create a \xe2\x80\x99speak up\xe2\x80\x99 culture.
  • Communicate SOPs and ensure ViiV policies are followed, e.g. recognition, reward, discipline, people policies, mandatory training.
  • Manage and control expenses to maximize return on investment
  • In addition to national and regional meetings, overnight travel is involved
  • Provide oversight to ensure all adverse events identified during rep activities are reported in a timely fashion in accordance with internal policies (including VH-CORP-400) and training, and any follow up information received.

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required from an accredited institution
  • Direct sales and sales leadership experience (competitive market) with a minimum of 2 years in specialty
  • Proven track record of delivering strong performance leading a sales team
  • Strong Business Knowledge, and willingness to drive fearless collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and empower Teams to work in an agile manner
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Valid driver license*

Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Current or recent experience in HIV
  • Direct sales and sales leadership experience within HIV
  • Expert knowledge of HIV market and demonstrated planning ability.
  • Excellent understanding of, and response to, a fast paced, and ever-changing selling environment.
  • Marketing and/or training head office experience
  • Mastery of asking effective questions
  • Strong communication, coaching and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
  • Bilingualism (French & English), oral and written


  • This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company \xe2\x80\x93 leased vehicle. However, to be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, ViiV will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and drivers abstract review against its safe driver program requirements.
