About Our Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Federal-Provincial / Territorial FPT) Relations, the National Housing Strategy Analyst works in the Housing Strategy & Policy division, providing specialized oversight and coordination of agreements flowing Bilateral Agreement funding to third parties; implementing and monitoring Action Plan commitments and strategic goals; supporting the Department\xe2\x80\x99s participation in the FPT Housing Forum; and advising and supporting leadership on matters related to the intergovernmental housing agreements. You will support the development and implementation of a agreement management systems and support program staff to administer agreements in accordance agreement requirements. You will coordinate progress reporting on the NHS Bilateral agreement and other intergovernmental agreements, help to ensure compliance, progress towards strategic goals, and responsible and transparent use of public funds.

Primary Accountabilities

A few of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development of Action Plans and strategic planning in matters related to the National Housing Strategy
  • Supporting the Department\xe2\x80\x99s agreement compliance management activities (deadlines, reporting, etc.)
  • Reviewing and assessing contribution agreements for adherence to requirements
  • Entering, reviewing, and validating key data points
  • Supporting outreach and training activities for program teams
  • Supporting periodic review of contribution agreements, reporting templates, and other documents related to the contribution agreement management framework, with a view toward continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the development of provincial negotiating priorities and supporting the Department\xe2\x80\x99s participation in the FPT Forum and other intergovernmental initiatives, including drafting effective briefing materials and making strategic recommendations.
  • Participating in FPT Housing Forum working groups and supporting collaboration within and among governments on housing-related issues.
Qualifications and Experience

You have completed a related bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field and have five (5) years of related experience. You have demonstrated success in data analytics along with project management abilities.

Familiarity with the following will be considered an asset:
  • Compliance and risk management experience
  • Legal experience
  • Presentation and training skills
You are a self-starter and an innovative thinker who is solutions oriented. You analyze and present information in a clear and concise manner. You have well developed planning and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to multi-task and adapt in this fast-paced environment with competing priorities and strict deadlines. You pay attention to detail and effectively interpret and apply policy and process.

You have proven experience maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and staff. You exercise sound judgement and a high degree of professionalism when providing technical advice. You communicate for maximum results, consistently maintain a courteous disposition, and hold a high standard for client and customer service. You are a self-motivated individual who works both independently with minimal supervision and participates fully as an effective team player.

You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and demonstrate a good understanding of computer technologies. A working knowledge of services and programs offered by the Department along with government policies, procedures, and procurement processes is ideal.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

  • A related master\xe2\x80\x99s degree and three (3) years of related experience

Working Conditions

Pay Grade: PR 13

Salary Range: $2,543.38 - $3,091.70 Bi-Weekly
