Role:

This role\xe2\x80\x99s primary responsibility is to manage the relationship with the Region/Sites and customer head-offices to increase sales, profitability, and maintain service for Sysco\xe2\x80\x99s Canadian operations while handling multiple duties in an expedient, courteous, and professional manner.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the business processes between National Customers and the Regional sites (AE\xe2\x80\x99s, Merchandising, Finance and Operations), ensuring service levels are maintained.
  • Effectively meet customer needs; building productive customer relationship, taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and maintaining loyalty.
  • Handle any issues that may arise from both the sites and customer\xe2\x80\x99s
  • perspective including but not limited to products/vendor listings, inventory levels, inbound delays, supply gaps, service levels, deliveries, recalls, quality assurance, reporting, and MSA compliance.
  • Conducting regular conference calls with Regional Account Executives and customers.
  • Gather necessary information and analyze to ensure profitability of National Accounts and support the Vice President, National Accounts (VPNA), Director, National Accounts and Regional Account Executives (AEs).
  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly reports to identify opportunities relative to sales, profitability, and service levels.
  • Work on customer opportunities (new and current) with the Vice President, National Accounts (VPNA), Brand Analysts, and National Category Managers.
  • Prepare and participate in RFIs/RFPs.
  • Prepare and support Business Reviews with the proper front-end analysis conducted and the value added associated with Sysco.
  • Assist in creating business plans after the review has been completed in order to increase profitability and case growth.
  • Coordinate new vendor and product set-up. Collaborating with the vendors/customer to ensure data reliability.
  • Organize and collaborate with the customers, vendors and the sites on new menus, and promotions securing the proper supply and delivering on customer\xe2\x80\x99s expectations.
  • Manage and resolve challenges associated with slow moving/obsolete inventory.
  • Introduce/Source new products to customers focusing on the growth and profitability of the Sysco Branded items.
  • Collaborate with Logistics Team to secure freight quotes for FOB vendors.
  • Review and rectify bill-back and contract pricing challenges. Maintain customer pricing catalogues. Work closely with the national pricing team to ensure proper pricing is implemented
  • Liaise with vendors in order to maintain strong working relationships, work through contracts, fill rates, and product options.
  • Coordinate culinary product presentations for customers.
  • Populating SPS Activity including customer contacts, profiles, and notes
  • Fully utilize internal CRM tools (including 360) to manage contacts and track opportunities and results
  • Coordinate with BT team and Analyst all data reporting required by the client (E.g. Velocities, Vendor Short, Sub Report)
  • Coordinate conversions, set-ups and tracking GPO units.
  • Oversee inventory\xe2\x80\x99s level for proprietary items and maintain NBBD concerning expiration date and brand standards.
  • Support Credit team in ensuring the client\xe2\x80\x99s accounts are in terms with Sysco on a corporate and site level.
  • Complies with Sysco\xe2\x80\x99s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
  • Minimum two (2+) years job related experience within a sales or marketing role.
  • University or College business administration degree preferred or related experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, AS400 etc.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, business minded, and able to probe into information to get results.
  • Demonstrated sales growth and success with a customer and business focused approach.
  • Understanding & application of key selling skills concepts, principles and applications.
  • Excellent relationship management experience, time manager, business acumen, initiative, and desire to succeed are required.
