Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide exceptional care for our 4 month old son, from October-June 2025 , with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be experienced in infant care and confident in their skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with child during wake windows, outside and inside. Put child down for naps following their schedule, and monitor for wakes. Warm/feed bottles as necessary. Clothe, change diapers and bathe when necessary. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met, as the child ages. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities. Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their emotional and social development.

Experience

/ Requirements

Experience working/raising children required Familiarity with meal preparation and cooking for children is beneficial. Ability to create fun, engaging, and educational activities tailored to children's interests and developmental stages. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both children and parents. Must have a clean, reliable and safe vehicle. Must be able to pass a criminal record check as well as provide a drivers abstract.
Please note that mum works from home, and will be present in the home for the duration of the shift. Baby will be exclusively breastfed from month 4-6 and will be available to feed. Bottles will be accessible if needed. Solids will be introduced when developmentally appropriate.

Outings to play groups and baby friendly activities are encouraged during wake windows as well as walks, fresh air.

Shift hours and days off follow the school district schedule, all Pro-D days, and school holidays will be recognized as days off. Overtime can be discussed on a case by case basis.

Opportunity to earn additional pay through general housekeeping while on shift if desired.
