Overview

I am looking for someone to help me in the mornings with my 2 daughters ~ 5 & 6 years old. Beginning in January 2026, I need someone to come to my house, pick up my children (in South Delta) and either drive them to school in White Rock or just stay with them until their ride picks them up. It is Monday - Friday approximately 530/6am - 8 am (or 9am if you drive them to school)

You must have a safe and reliable vehicle, clean driving record, and 3 past work references.

Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times during scheduled shifts Must be

reliable

Assist with homework, educational activities, and age-appropriate teaching to promote learning Engage children in play, arts and crafts, reading, and other enriching activities Perform light housekeeping duties related to child care, such as cleaning up after meals and tidying play areas Support children with personal hygiene routines such as grooming, dressing, and brushing teeth Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, routines, and any concerns

Experience

Prior experience working with children in a caregiving or teaching capacity is

required

(at least 1- 3 years) Educational Background in caregiving or related fields that involve nurturing and supervising children is highly valued Mandarin speaking would be a bonus (my daughters go to a Mandarin bilingual school) Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with

This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to add a small job before the work day and someone who is good with early mornings.

A bit about my Kids:

I've worked with kids most of my life (over 20 years). My kids are good kids (they have their moments though). They have lots of energy and are motivated to learn. They can be very sweet but they can be sassy sisters - they like to rough house so it's always best to monitor them during that time as it's likely an argument will occur. They are at a very cool age where they want to be involved and help, they want to do homework, they want to help cook and help clean up. I want someone who can handle two high energy kids with firm and loving care. I want someone experienced in setting loving but firm boundaries and someone who won't put up with their silliness when they cross the line (Again, firm but loving)

A bit about me: I am a math teacher. I've worked with kids for over 20 years, I run a business and work in schools. We are busy. We want someone in our life to be apart of our family, not an employee! I expect reliability, professionalism, and most importantly, someone that is on the same page as us when it comes to long term goals and raising kids.

if this position works out, I am not against providing some benefits after 3-6 months (individual - Pacific Blue Cross) Or looking at ways to offer some more stability.

NOTE: My husband and I travel during the summer (we are both teachers). If this position is a good fit, we would entertain the idea of brining along if that is something that interests you. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
