Duties
The Music ABA Therapist will:
Integrate
music-based activities
into ABA therapy sessions to teach language, play, and social engagement.
Collaborate closely with
BCBAs, Clinical Supervisors, and Senior Therapists
to ensure programming aligns with individualized treatment plans.
Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies (reinforcement, prompting, task analysis, data collection).
Conduct 1:1 and small-group sessions that target communication, imitation, joint attention, and emotion expression through music.
Record and analyze session data to track progress and generalization.
Participate in
team meetings, parent training
, and clinic events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Psychology, Music Therapy, ABA, or related field.
Experience working with children with
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
.
Familiarity with
ABA principles and data collection methods
(training provided if needed).
Strong musical background (instrumental or vocal).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certification in
Music Therapy (MT-BC)
or
RBT
considered an asset.
