We're looking for an enthusiastic and skilled music therapist to join our team at a long-term care facility. In this role, you will harness the transformative power of music to enrich the lives and well-being of children through weekly in-person group and individual sessions.

Responsibilities:
1. Plan and implement music therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs and abilities of the children.
2. Assess participants' progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and participants' progress.
5. Stay current with best practices and research in the field of music therapy.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.
(REQUIRED)
2. Membership with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy (MTA or MT-BC certified)
(REQUIRED)
3. Registered Psychotherapist, RP or RP(Q) affiliated with the CRPO (Preferred)
4. Experience working with children with varying abilities and needs.
5. Proficiency in playing various musical instruments and facilitating group music therapy experiences.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with cognitive and physical challenges.
