At Hear & Now Music Lessons, we connect people to the music that moves them. Unlike traditional lessons, we curate music lessons for all instruments based on goals, musical taste, and mood. Our teaching philosophy emphasizes that learning music should be a collaborative experience derived from personal taste and supplemented with practical knowledge. We believe in working with students to find the right songs and learning pace to help them grow as musicians while ensuring the experience remains fun and engaging.?

Position Overview:

We are seeking passionate and adaptable music teachers to join our team, providing instruction at various Montessori schools across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Our students range from as young as 9 months to Grade 8, and we aim to offer them a rich and diverse musical education.?

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging music exploration classes, including singing, movement, rhythm, and basic instrument play. Teach specialized subjects such as band, ukulele, vocals, and music theatre, including leading full-scale productions. Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and learning styles. Travel to various Montessori schools across Toronto and the GTA to conduct in-person lessons.?

Qualifications:

Experience teaching music to children, particularly in early childhood and elementary settings. Comfortable with a range of musical subjects, from general music exploration to specific disciplines like band or theatre. Access to a reliable vehicle is recommended due to the geographic spread of our partner schools. Open to candidates with diverse musical backgrounds; specialization in one or more areas is a plus but not mandatory.?

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
