Hear & Now is seeking a
Music Production / DJ Instructor
to lead
in-studio group classes
at our Beaches location (Queen & Waverley).
This role is ideal for someone who lives in the world of music creation--whether that's production, beat-making, DJing, or electronic music--and enjoys sharing that process with others. We're open to different creative approaches and teaching styles and are excited by instructors who bring their own
creative flair, perspective, and energy
to the classroom.
You'll be teaching small group classes in a fully equipped studio environment. While we provide all
professional-grade studio hardware
, instructors bring their own laptop and are free to use
any software or DAW
they prefer.
What You'll Be Teaching
Group-based music production and/or DJ-focused classes
Topics may include beat-making, basic harmony/theory, song structure, sound design, sampling, mixing basics, DJ fundamentals, etc.
Curriculum can be shaped collaboratively and tailored to student interest, age and level
Studio & Perks
Fully equipped studio space (audio interface, MIDI controller, speakers, second display, projector, etc.)
No software restrictions

Requirements
Strong background in music production, DJing, or electronic music (formal education not required if industry experience is strong)
Comfortable leading
group classes
Confident working with contemporary music styles
Reliable, communicative, and aligned with a positive, student-first teaching philosophy
Teaching experience is an asset, but we're equally open to artists who are excited to step into an educational role.
Compensation
$75+/hour
