We are currently seeking a professional and organized individual to assume the challenging and rewarding role of Municipal Enforcement Clerk with the Public Safety Department.
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Municipal Enforcement Division, the incumbent is responsible for administrative and operational support of the division. This includes reception, data entry, preparation of materials for court, maintaining statistical data, customer support at the service counter, issuing of licenses and permits, taking payments and providing radio dispatch for Municipal Enforcement Officers.
The position requires graduation from Grade 12 and a certificate or diploma in the administrative field (or equivalent), general office skills, good organizational skills, proficiency in word-processing with a high degree of accuracy and a minimum of two years of related experience including word-processing, using spread sheets, customer service and processing payments. The incumbent must possess tact and diplomacy to deal with the public and other staff. Neatness and accuracy are required in all documentation. The incumbent must possess the ability to work independently and be able to multitask in a very busy environment.
The City of Yellowknife offers an attractive salary range of $66,443.97 - $77,929.71 as well as a comprehensive benefits package including $450.00 in monthly housing and vacation travel allowances and a defined benefit pension plan.
