Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Municipal Accountability Program to assess and support municipal legislative compliance.
  • Provide expert advice to municipal leaders on governance and legislative matters.
  • Investigate concerns and recommend solutions to promote transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with municipalities and internal teams to strengthen governance practices.
  • Travel across Alberta (25-50%) for reviews, training, and advisory visits.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Public Administration, Law, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 4 years progressively responsible related experience working with or applying the Municipal Government Act.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal legislation, governance, and policy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
