About the role




As a 3D artist you will develop, design, plan and produce a variety of high-quality 3D models, textures, and animations for training simulations. You will create 3D models using engineering drawings, photographs, models, or rough sketches. You will work closely with our design and development teams to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. Your ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.

Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and animations for use in training simulations and other media. Maintain organized and efficient asset pipelines, ensuring that all 3D assets are properly labelled, versioned, and stored. Analyze software requirements and photos to reproduce realistic functional equipment for computer-based training simulations. Collaborate with designers, programmers, and other artists to ensure that 3D assets meet program requirements and deadlines. Review models to ensure quality and validity of graphic functional elements and conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications. Create and reproduce equipment in 3D graphics to simulate real-time equipment in a system environment for training applications. Log and maintain work progress status. Perform peer reviews of completed models for clarity, quality, completeness, and dimension accuracy as per functional specifications. Identify design errors, omissions and other deficiencies and recommend revisions and/or design improvements. Document procedures, steps and development processes or techniques to enable others to understand, learn and produce accurate and realistic representations of equipment. Recommend process, hardware and software improvements and training opportunities to the Graphics Manager.

What you bring to the role




College diploma in 3D multimedia design Proficient in Autodesk 3ds Studio Max Able to analyze and interpret pictures, video, and technical drawings to reproduce high quality 3D representations and animations of complex equipment Strong understanding of lighting, shading, and rendering techniques Knowledge of Adobe Substance design tools Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine Good problem solver Strong attention to detail Able to work in a team environment Strong communication skills
