About the Opportunity SSI (ShipConstructor Software Inc.) is looking for a permanent, full-time Multimedia Content Producer to join our marketing team in Victoria, BC. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Multimedia Content Producer is responsible for using a variety of digital tools to create videos, webinars, motion graphics and other multimedia content as well as boosting, measuring and tracking meaningful engagement. Their primary focus is on leveraging audio and visual media they produce in-house. On occasion, working with 3rd parties may be required to produce top tier content. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can make data-informed decisions about what content to produce to achieve marketing goals. The successful candidate will be effective at oral and written communication, have advanced content creation skills, and can collaborate with internal Agile/Scrum teams and external stakeholders to ensure content marketing success.

What we look for:

• Three years of work experience as a content specialist, creative assistant, digital media specialist, video producer, or related field. A portfolio or sample of recent related work will be required.
• Intermediate-to-advanced skills with tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and other media editing software.
• A collaborative mindset - proven track record of working in teams resulting in high-quality content.
• The ability to work with people from various backgrounds and cultures.
• Experience working with others and/or alone to create high-quality audio and visual content such as mini-docs, podcasts, commercials, corporate videos, spots, etc.
  
• Academic accreditation in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Digital Media, or in any other relevant field.
  
• A demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and execute multiple tasks
• The ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced, high performing environment and maintain a positive attitude
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills based on an understanding of communication theory and best practices.
• A strong background in digital content creation & development; digital video/photography shooting & editing; graphic design, data visualization, motion graphics & infographics; and digital & social media.

Candidates who also have any of the following will be given additional consideration:

• The ability to make complex and technical information accessible, engaging and relatable.
• You have strong experience with digital video shooting and editing.
• You’re a self-starter who loves to create content, works well within a team, and can produce content on time and under tight deadlines.
• Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and animations.
• Experience in shipbuilding or manufacturing
  
• Experience in Agile / Lean software development environments or an understanding of Scrum
• An up-to-date understanding of social media trends and digital media best practices.
• You’re well-versed in graphic design, motion graphics and infographics.
• An impeccable eye for detail, brand consistency and tone of voice.

Please note: The successful candidate must be willing to work remotely within Canada with the eventual relocation to Victoria, BC, and either be a Canadian Citizen or hold a valid Canadian Permanent Residency or Work Permit.
