The Site Assistant is accountable to ensure the appearance of the job site is presentable, ready for our Trade Partners and always kept safe. The successful candidate will assist the Site Manager in day-to-day maintenance, site administration of preparing homes, supervising trades, reviewing quality of work and ensuring that the jobsites are always being presented in a proper manner
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Site Assistant working with a homebuilder.

Multi-Family Site Assistant Job Responsibilities
As a Site Assistant you will be supporting the Site Manager with on site job tasks throughout the entire construction process and on occasion after projects have completed. You would be responsible for the following (but not limited to):
Daily Reporting:
Prepare and submit daily progress reports (written or verbal) to the site manager.
Scheduling:
Assist in scheduling tasks and deliveries, when required
Material Tracking:
Monitor the delivery and usage of construction materials.
Site Setup:
Assist in setting up the job site, including tools and equipment.
Safety Inspections:
Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments and always ensure compliance with safety protocols. Ensuring Trade Partners are working in a safe environment according to the Oldstreet site safety standards and policies
Inventory Management:
Maintain an organized inventory of materials and tools on-site.
Coordination with Subcontractors:
Facilitate communication between various subcontractors.
Documentation:
Keep accurate records of work performed, issues encountered, and resolutions. Performing Frame-Checks, Flooring/Tile Preps, Paint Preps, Tune-ups and Possession deficiencies as needed
Quality Control:
Assist in monitoring the quality of work being completed.
Assisting Trades:
Provide support to tradespeople as needed, such as holding materials or tools.
Site Cleanliness:
Ensure the site is clean and free of debris at the end of each day. Holding each trade accountable for cleanliness during their processes
Problem Resolution:
Assist in identifying and addressing on-site issues promptly. Following up on deficiency lists with Site Manager and Trade Partners.
Permit Management:
Help manage necessary permits and inspections.
Assisting the Site Manager and Construction Operations Manager with other site related duties as requested
Inspecting each completed Unit prior to tenant move-in to make sure that the Unit is complete and meets the company standards of quality and cleanliness.
Acting as a representative of Oldstreet on the jobsites, ensuring the company's reputation is maintained in a positive manner.

Qualifications
:
High School Diploma
PHBIA accreditation in Construction Fundamentals 1&2, Principles of Construction Management, or Construction Management Certificates is an asset
Minimum 3 years' experience working with a homebuilder as a Site Assistant (multi-family experience is preferred).
Must have a valid Driver's license and access to the use of a personal vehicle. Possessing a pick-up Truck is preferred.
Must have a satisfactory drive's abstract.
Working Conditions
This position works primarily on job sites throughout Calgary and surrounding communities, in all weather conditions. The successful candidate must be able to perform manual laboring activities and may include lifting up to 50lbs.
