Position Summary:
Through experiential modules in visual art, music, dance, and drama, students engage in these artistic practices while exploring the developmental relevance and therapeutic impact of children's active participation in the creative arts. Students apply their theoretical and practical learning from these modules in order to design accessible activities for, and then provide leadership at, a week-long inclusive creative arts day-camp entitled "Arts Express".
Dates of Instruction:
May 26 & 27 (6 hours total instruction)
Additional Administrative work: 11 hours. This drama instructor position entails 8 hours of administrative responsibility at KidsAbility and WLU (plus 3 hours of planning meetings) for the Arts Express Camp (July 7-11, 2025).
Qualifications - Required: Bachelor's degree in Drama; Masters degree preferred.
Qualifications - Areas of Specialization: Applicants who are certified creative arts therapists, or who have leadership experience working with children with disabilities, will be given preference.
Salary: $1,534.40. Administrative work during Arts Express camp week to be paid separately ($50/hr).
