Anticipated Class Size: TBD (subject to enrolment) Additional Course Requirements:Posted on: June 1, 2024 Posting ends: June 15, 2024 Position Summary: Individual applied study in contemporary commercial music styles in voice (pop, rock, jazz, blues, etc.) and in Musical Theatre. Instructional topics will address foundational techniques, healthy belt technique, vocal pedagogy, vocal physiology and acoustics. Group component class focuses on the fundamentals of the professional musician, such as: How to practice, self-assess, work with amplification equipment, giving and receiving feedback, dealing with performance anxiety, body mapping, reducing excess tension in the body, and strategies for self-care as a musician. Applicants must show evidence of being an effective and inspiring private instructor with extensive teaching background, preferably at the university level. The candidate may also recruit and maintain a class of students. The successful candidate is an active performer or coach with a wide range of performing experience. Qualifications \xe2\x80\x93 Required: Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Music or equivalent professional experience (national or international teaching profile) or post-graduate credentials. Training, credentials and experience in vocal physiology, anatomy, and acoustics. A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in CCM and Musical Theatre.
