Our team is passionate about power and performance management on SOC, covering a spectrum of responsibilities from hardware and firmware design emulation, design validation, issue debugging, to silicon enablement and production.The successful candidate will take a leadership role in power and performance feature design and development. Responsibilities include collaboration with hardware and firmware IP designers and architects, ownership of power and performance hardware and firmware features, development and delivery of comprehensive test plans, validation plans, enablement plans, and execution of silicon bring-up.In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to prototyping innovative ideas and designs for the next generation of computing technologies. Throughout the ASIC life cycle, the right candidate will engage in activities up to RTL, DV simulation and Emulation, taking charge of on-silicon feature enablement and testing. Further responsibilities include maintaining and supporting the firmware repository and release.THE PERSON:Qualities desired for a successful candidate include mutually supportive teamwork, critical and deep thinking, relentless determination, leadership and managerial skills, as well as strong execution and communication skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with architects to develop feature verification and enablement plans for SOC power and performance management features.
• Manage the release of different firmwares targeting various project milestones.
• Develop firmware functions and features for embedded microcontrollers in C.
• Debug and troubleshoot system-level issues related to power and performance features.
• Prototype innovative ideas and designs.
• Support the test automation infrastructure and develop test scripts.
• Proactively drive continuous improvement in all areas of activity.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of experience in firmware development or embedded system design.
• In-depth understanding of digital electronics and CMOS devices.
• Experience with developing and debugging system hardware, software, or firmware for embedded systems.
• Excellent proficiency in C, C++, and Python, or other scripting languages; experience with programming in assembly is an asset.
• Extensive laboratory experience, including familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
• Good understanding of computer organization/architecture.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in power, performance, or thermal management would be beneficial.
• Security/cryptography experience would be an asset.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be a self-starter and able to independently drive tasks to completion.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
