Job Description

What You'll Be Doing




Responsible for mentoring (including feedback on skills and behavior) and providing guidance on safe work practices for less experienced MTBIs and apprentices. Lead the assembly of manufactured and purchased components to meet the specifications as indicated by assembly drawings. Assemblies may include complex arrangements requiring fitting and adjustment to meet close tolerances. Review jobs before assembly starts and collaborate with engineering to obtain design clarification as required. Assist and provide guidance to teams of assemblers and others as necessary. Complete assembly, installation, and validation of specifications for machines of varying size and complexity. Install equipment on the customer site, including training of customer on equipment and support through SAT.

Strong math and communication skills in the English language Effective in time management with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure within strict time restraints. Read and interpret blueprints. Operate a variety of hand tools. Collaborate effectively within a team or work independently. Be receptive to direction and open to productive feedback.

Level of Autonomy and Authority




Able to work without direction guided by general instructions related to objectives, priorities, and requirement. Offer guidance and leadership to teams of assemblers and other team members when necessary. Potentially participate in staff selection and training. Contribute valuable insights to the management regarding technical standards and designs within the company and department.

Key Requirements




Ministry Trades Certificate of Qualification and 8 yrs. of experience or proven competency Basic Shop Safety Rules and Knowledge of duties under OHSA & WSIB Must have a valid passport and driver's license, as well as the ability to travel to customer sites both locally and internationally. Must be available to travel for periods of up to 2 weeks Additional hours may be required for scheduled or unscheduled onsite customer service on evenings or weekends.
