Independent contractor ( In person in office, 1 days a week - on Tuesdays)

Summary:

A great opportunity to provide counselling to Probation and Parole clients referred to Randy Scott Clinical Services by the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario, in a probation and parole office.

Responsibilities:

Providing individual and group counselling to clients; Follow the guidelines of RSCS and the Ministry of the Solicitor General of Ontario when working with clients; Meet the company's contractual obligations to the Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario.

Succeeding as a Counsellor - Randy Scott Clinical Services will require the following core qualifications and skills:

Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work; Professional College membership and valid professional liability insurance; Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate counselling experience delivering cognitive behavioral therapy; Experience and confidence to work with individuals who have complex issues and challenges; including domestic violence, sexual acting out, addictions, social exclusion, and involvement with the justice system and/or social service field; Experience with mandated clients is an asset; Ability to work with various types of clients presenting a wide variety of issues; Knowledge of local community resources; Knowledge of physical/sexual abuse responsibility and legislation is an asset; Ability to work from a strength-based perspective, helping clients set and meet their goals; Ability to write clear and concise case notes; Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time-management, and organizational skills; Adherence to professional and ministry boundaries for client intervention; You are required to provide your own laptop and phone.
