INDUSTRY SEGMENT: Pharmaceutical
JOB DESCRIPTION: HHAI is recruiting for a pharmaceutical Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for the Atlantic and Maritime provinces. This is for a high profile global pharmaceutical company experiencing very strong growth. Ideally based in Halifax, this person will be the scientific and medical expert for key stakeholders in the region. Qualified candidates living within a major metropolitan area (Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, St. John's and Charlottetown) within Atlantic Canada will be considered.
You will:

• Identify KOL's and develop professional relationships within the health care community in order to exchange current medical information, expand research and advisory opportunities and facilitate networking opportunities among industry and company colleagues.
• As a key member of the Medical Affairs team, you will work closely with your medical, sales and marketing colleagues to manage scientific requests from the field and provide scientific support for internal and external company projects, as required.
• Respond to requests for medical information and report Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints
• Manager requests for Investigator Suggested Studies (ISS)

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3+ years of previous pharmaceutical industry experience in an MSL role
• Previous experience in immunology and solid understanding of market dynamics within the region.
• Post Graduate Degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc)
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong business acumen and the ability to disseminate and present complex scientific concepts in a variety of settings
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time in the region
