MS Dynamics/PowerApps Lead DeveloperDate Resource Required: Aug 7, 2024 (negotiable)
Term: August 6, 2024 \xe2\x80\x93 March 31, 2025Background:
Our client has several IT projects currently in progress and planned for 2024-25 and beyond. We are seeking a MS Dynamics/PowerApps Technical Lead/Developer to spearhead a new development team responsible for delivering MS Dynamics/PowerApps-based technical solutions for cancer screening initiatives.Detailed Requirements:
The Dynamics/PowerApps Technical Lead/Developer will perform ongoing technical development of a new lung cancer screening application and may assist in the "CanCheck\xe2\x80\x9d project for existing breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screening programs.Responsibilities:

  • Design application components that meet business requirements using Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, and/or Azure Functions.
  • Lead technical team members, providing guidance and mentorship during design, development, configuration, testing, and implementation. This includes code review, performance testing and tuning, and application of data privacy and information security best practices.
  • Build complex components using Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Automate flows, Model-Driven Business Process Flows (BPFs), Azure Functions, and/or Dynamics Plugins.
  • Develop solutions that meet business needs and can grow with future business requirements without introducing unnecessary complexity.
  • Provide technical feedback on business requirements, identifying potential solutions/approaches and any associated risks/mitigation options.
  • Lead the technical team during the configuration and creation of necessary Microsoft Power Platform environments (i.e., Development, Test, UAT, and Production).
  • Create interface solutions including, but not limited to, REST API, file uploads, HL7 messaging, etc.
  • Ensure source control protection and support environment updates using YAML Pipelines on Azure DevOps.
  • Prepare technical documentation to support the project(s) and transition technical knowledge to the support teams.
  • Provide work time estimates to the Project Manager.
  • Report technical progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager.
  • Diagnose and resolve system defects.
  • Liaise with healthcare and technical partners, representing technical needs and solutions.
This position will work primarily remotely; however, occasional travel to the Regina office location may be required.Qualifications: Candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Superior working knowledge of MS Dynamics software development technology, programming, workflow analysis principles, networks, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and principles.
  • Understanding of technical designs, specifications, principles, systems, and software applications.
  • Communication skills required to develop and present complex information, including written documentation and verbal presentations to audiences with varying levels of comprehension ability.
  • Ability to comprehend complex business issues.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills to coordinate with project teams through project phases.
  • Initiative and independent judgment required to solve complex problems.
  • Human relations skills required to ensure compliance and promote acceptance through negotiating with staff and suppliers where there is a requirement to resolve conflicts.
  • Human relations skills required when meeting with vendors and staff regarding compliance and acceptance issues, such as promoting standards to enhance interoperability between stakeholders or meet certification requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, patients/clients, senior leadership team, and/or the community.
Education, Accreditation, and Work Experience:Education:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Diploma in computer technology or equivalent.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in development using MS Dynamics.
  • 3+ years of relevant knowledge and experience with the Power Platform stack.
  • Experience developing Canvas and Model-Driven applications.
  • Experience with Dataverse integrations with Power Apps, SharePoint Online, and document library integrations.
  • Experience working with managed solutions and concepts such as solution layering, customization merging, etc.
  • Preference will be given to those with 3+ years of healthcare IT experience, including an understanding of data integration and interfaces.
  • Experience working in a highly integrated environment.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring technical development teams.
