About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MRT/CLXT (Full-Time 1.0 FTE) to join our diagnostic imaging team at our 97 St (Edmonton) and St. Albert locations.
In this role, you'll perform general X-ray, C-arm fluoroscopy, mammography, bone density and mobile X-ray procedures, contributing to our pain management and diagnostic programs. Reporting to the Lead Technologist, you will ensure patient safety, high-quality imaging, and smooth clinical operations while working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Your work directly supports accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient experiences across our expanding imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including general X-ray, C-arm fluoroscopy, mammography, bone density, and mobile X-ray.
Support pain management imaging through accurate positioning, quality assurance, and patient care
Maintain clinical documentation and records by using medical information systems.
Follow established protocols to guarantee the security and comfort of patients during examinations.
Assist Radiologists and other medical staff with special procedures.
Maintain a sterile and clean examination area and replenish the procedure room as needed.
Act quickly to address odd situations, anomalous results, or issue involving patients and equipment.
Verify that standard equipment is calibrated, functions as intended, and has been properly disinfected.
Take part in and helps to maintain the programs for quality control and assurance.
Comply with and contributes to the creation of policies, processes, and guidelines.
Uphold patient confidentiality and consistently deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
Schedule
Full-time (1.0 FTE) within operating hours of 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM.
Sunday coverage required (rotational basis to be confirmed during interview).
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Previous experience in a medical imaging or radiology setting is preferred but not mandatory, specifically: Mammography, Pain Injection, Mobile X-Ray.
Experience in patient care and safety protocols.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and provide exceptional patient care.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
What We Are Looking For
Certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or Combined Laboratory X-ray Technologist (CLXT).
Active Member with good standing of ACMDTT and CAMRT.
Ability to operate and maintain medical imaging equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Strong understanding of medical terminology.
Mammography Certification is an asset.
