. You will work with students across different age groups using the
MPM Math system
, guiding them step by step through structured materials and hands-on learning.
University-level mathematics background or advanced math training is preferred, as it reflects a solid understanding of mathematical structure and reasoning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver
MPM Math lessons
in a structured, student-centered way, following the program's methodology
Prepare and implement lesson plans that align with
MPM curriculum goals and individual student needs
Guide students through manipulatives, workbooks, and discussion-based problem solving
Observe and assess student progress, providing
clear, constructive, and encouraging feedback
Adjust teaching pace and strategies to support
different learning styles and thinking speeds
Create a
positive, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
where students feel safe to think, try, and make mistakes
Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress when required
Collaborate with the academic team to share observations, insights, and best practices
Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development related to MPM teaching
Qualifications & Experience
University background in
Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or related fields
is strongly preferred
Experience teaching or tutoring children or adolescents is an asset (formal or informal)
Strong understanding of mathematical reasoning and the ability to explain concepts clearly
Patience, responsibility, and genuine care for students' long-term development
Strong communication skills and a reflective teaching mindset
Willingness to learn and follow a
structured teaching system
rather than improvising content
Prior experience with MPM Math is a plus, but
training will be provided

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$43.08 per hour
Expected hours: 4 - 10 per week
