About the Role:

Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer in Fort Erie, Ontario, is seeking an

M&P Engineering Specialist

to support materials and process development, qualification, and production activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all materials, processes, and manufacturing methods meet customer, regulatory, and industry standards. This is a 12-month contract position with strong potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, qualify, and implement materials and processes in support of new and existing aerospace programs. Provide engineering support for metallic and composite materials, surface treatments, coatings, and bonding processes. Lead investigations into material or process non-conformances and develop corrective and preventive actions. Author and maintain process specifications, test plans, and qualification reports in accordance with aerospace standards (e.g., ASTM, NADCAP, MIL). Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to optimize production methods and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Interface with suppliers to resolve technical issues and support process capability improvements. Participate in audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives within the M&P function.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent discipline). Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace materials and processes engineering. Strong knowledge of metallics, composites, adhesives, and surface treatment processes. Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ISO9001). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Duration: 12 months, with potential for permanent employment Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday Compensation: $45-$50 per hour, depending on experience
