Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Mozaik Cabinet Specialist to join our design-engineering team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Mozaik Cabinet Software, understand custom cabinetry construction, and be capable of producing accurate cut lists, CNC-ready files, 3D renderings, shop drawings, and optimization layouts. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth production flow in our 13,000 sq. ft. Brampton manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Engineering
Create detailed cabinet layouts using Mozaik Cabinet Software
Build parametric cabinet models based on project requirements
Prepare 3D renderings, section views, and exploded diagrams
Convert design concepts into accurate manufacturing-ready drawings
2. CNC / Production File Management
Generate CNC cut files (DXF, G-code) through Mozaik
Export and verify CNC layout sheets, tooling paths, and labels
Coordinate with CNC operators for material setup and tooling
Ensure all files align with factory standards (tool IDs, offsets, bit sizes)
3. Cut Lists & Optimization
Generate cut lists, edge-banding lists, and hardware lists
Perform material optimization to reduce waste and cost
Maintain accuracy of bill of materials and panel breakdowns
4. Quality Control
Review all drawings and files before releasing to production
Ensure cabinet construction standards match company specifications
Identify and resolve design/production issues proactively
5. Collaboration
Work closely with designers, project managers, CNC operators & installers
Provide support during shop drawing revisions
Update files based on site measurements, change orders, or client feedback
Required Skills & Qualifications
2+ years experience with Mozaik Cabinet Software (must-have)
Strong understanding of cabinetry, millwork, and woodworking principles
Knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, bit selection, and machining logic
Ability to read and create detailed technical drawings
Familiarity with melamine, MDF, plywood, edge banding, doors, drawers, and hardware systems
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
Experience with SCM / Biesse / Homag CNC machines (asset)
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
