As a Crew Leader / Driver, you are the front-line representative of Relocation Engineers. You lead by example -- ensuring every move is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards of excellence.
This role combines hands-on moving expertise with crew supervision, vehicle operation, and client interaction. You will be responsible for driving company trucks (up to 26'), managing on-site teams, training new crew members, and upholding our commitment to safety, service, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead a moving crew on residential and commercial moves, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive client experience.
Provide direction and guidance to team members throughout each job.
Train and mentor new or junior movers on safe lifting techniques, packing standards, and company protocols.
Maintain clear communication with the Operations Manager regarding progress, challenges, and client feedback.
Foster teamwork, respect, and accountability on every job site.
Operational Duties:
Safely drive and operate company trucks (up to 26') in compliance with Ontario traffic laws and company safety policies.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues to the Operations Manager.
Load and unload household and/or office goods, furniture, and equipment using proper techniques to prevent damage or injury.
Ensure all tools, moving supplies, and paperwork are accounted for before and after each move.
Handle client property with care and attention, providing courteous, professional service at all times.
Accurately complete move-related documentation, including timesheets, checklists, and condition reports.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Follow all company safety policies and WSIB requirements.
Immediately report any incidents, damages, or health and safety violations to the Operations Manager.
Ensure all crew members wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when needed and follow safe lifting and driving practices.
Maintain a clean and organized truck, free of hazards.
Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence
with a clean driver's abstract (AZ licence an asset).
Minimum 2 years of professional moving, logistics, or driving experience preferred.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train a small team.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong physical fitness and stamina; ability to lift 100+ lbs safely on a repetitive basis.
Professional appearance and customer service mindset and attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship.
Knowledge of GTA and surrounding areas an asset.
Knowledge of Smart Moving software an asset
Working Conditions:
Full-time or Part-time on-site position with variable hours based on move schedules.
Early mornings, weekends, or extended hours may be required during peak moving season.
Work involves physical activity in varying weather conditions.

Pay range starts at $23.00 and is negotiatble based on experience.
