Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Mover with a Class 5 Driving Licence to join our team. This role involves transporting, loading, and unloading items efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and moving services, with the ability to operate various equipment and vehicles safely. Duties

Safely load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks Operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmission for route driving and deliveries Assist clients with moving furniture and other heavy items, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently during route driving or scheduled deliveries Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and work area at all times Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during pickups and deliveries Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols Assist in warehouse activities including inventory management when required

Requirements

Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with proven experience in commercial driving, courier services, or delivery driving Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities Previous experience in moving services or warehouse operations is advantageous Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety regulations for transportation Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical fitness to handle manual tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
