temporary full-time
Mortgage Project Coordinator
. The Mortgage Project Coordinator will work with the homeowners of Habitat Edmonton to set them up with outsourced 3rd party partner MCAP to process mortgage payments.
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Mortgage Project Coordinator position are to complete the followingtasks:
Legacy Portfolio Homeowners
Follow up with Homeowners in the Legacy Portfolio who received letter about MCAP.
Guide homeowners through the process, gather necessary documentation and prepare required mortgage amending legal agreements.
Schedule appointments and meet with Legacy Portfolio homeowners to sign mortgage amending agreements. Explain and review the mortgage amending agreements with homeowners.
Address issues and escalate complex situations to more senior staff.
Send documents to land titles for registration.
MCAP Assignment
Communicate with MCAP to facilitate a smooth and efficient account setup process for Habitat Edmonton homeowners, which includes the completion of the data form for each homeowner.
Inform homeowners about completion of MCAP accounts, including all further communication to be submitted to MCAP regarding payments.
Provide initial training and support to homeowners on how to access and use MyMCAP portal.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Mortgage Lending Practices and regulatory requirements.
Experience working in Real Estate Law.
Good understanding of mortgage documents.
Knowledgeable in the process of land title registration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Valid Alberta class 5 driver's license with clean 3 year driver's abstract.
Exceptional customer service skills to build trust and deliver a positive experience to homeowners.
Strong attention to detail for accuracy and organizational skills to manage multiple files.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex financial terms and guide homeowners effectively.
Good Interpersonal skills and comfortable meeting and presenting to diverse audience.
Independent worker and confidence in their work.
The Mortgage Project Coordinator will have contact with people from many different backgrounds (cultural, religious, life experiences, etc.) and will often encounter people with English language barriers. It is expected that the Mortgage Project Coordinator will display patience and understanding to all clients and potential clients. The Mortgage Project Coordinator will approach all people with kindness, respect and a non-judgmental attitude.
