Mortgage Processing Administrator



We are seeking a talented Mortgage Administrator to work in our Ottawa head office on a hybrid basis. The primary purpose of this position to provide support to the Mortgage Administration team with processing transactions from funding to payout.

Reporting to Manager, Mortgage Operations, the Mortgage Administrator will be responsible for processing wires, payments, payouts, mortgage statements, and broker fees. Additionally, the Mortgage Administrator will support the Renewals Department by performing various administrative tasks.

- Minimum of 2 years experience in financial transaction processing and customer service

- Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills

- Problem solver with an ability to multi-task

- Team player with a positive approach to collaborate with colleagues, open to taking additional tasks to support the vision to achieve overall corporate goals and objectives.

- Experience in Mortgage lending required.

- Ensure mortgage loan files are complete and accurate prior to funding.

- Processing wires and payments in online banking platforms

- Processing mortgage transactions into Mortgage Administration software

- Effectively communicating with brokers, lawyers, and borrowers to assist inquiries as needed.

- General administrative duties such as processing cheques and filing

- Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and faxes.

- Coordinate and order drive-by property appraisals.

- Retrieve and review credit bureau reports

- Communicate proactively with borrowers by sending status updates and checkpoint emails throughout the mortgage process.

- Other duties as assigned.
