Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
Are you a subject-matter-expert in the world of Mortgages? Do you have a strong network in the real-estate space and a solid understanding of lending practices? Vancity is looking for an experienced sales professional with these traits to be our next Mortgage Development Manager. As a Mortgage Development Manager, you will grow new mortgage business and help Vancity redefine wealth consistent with business goals.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based in Fraser Valley East, and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Member Advisory Services.
For this position we are looking at applicants currently living in the Fraser Valley East area.
How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Researching and monitoring local communities for new member acquisition in order to build profitable mortgage business and achieve established sales targets
  • Advising and coordinating with the branch network so that there is seamless transition from the Mortgage Development Manager to the branch network (Assistant Branch Managers, Account Managers, Financial Service Coordinators) that allows maximum cross sell opportunities and a consistent on boarding experience
  • Building and maintaining the referral source network with external contacts (lawyers, solicitors, accountants, developers, realtors)
  • Coordinating referrals to Specialist roles so that member's needs are met consistent with established service and quality standards
  • Meeting with various clients across the lower mainland in accordance to their specific needs & availability
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Demonstrated success in mortgage sales, supported by a strong, existing book of business and an established network of referral sources

What You'll Earn:
This role offers a competitive compensation package under the Mortgage Development Manager (MDM) scheme, designed to reward high performers for driving business growth and expanding their client portfolio. You will receive a guaranteed base salary of $5,000 per month for the first three months in the role, and will then switch over to 100% commission.
