Job Summary:
The Montessori Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment in alignment with Montessori philosophy and principles. The teacher supports the holistic growth of each child--social, emotional, physical, and cognitive--by fostering independence, respect, curiosity, and a love for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Environment & Instruction
Prepare and maintain an orderly, safe, and stimulating Montessori classroom.
Present Montessori lessons and materials at the child's level of readiness.
Encourage independence, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress and development.
Child Development & Guidance
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
Support each child's social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.
Guide children in developing positive peer relationships and self-discipline.
Collaboration & Communication
Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress.
Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure consistency across the program.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Classroom Management & Organization
Maintain Montessori materials, ensuring they are clean, complete, and accessible.
Establish routines that support order, independence, and responsibility.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications:
Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, MACTE, or equivalent) for the age group taught.
Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or related field (as required by local regulations).
Experience working with young children in a Montessori or early childhood setting preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and colleagues.
Commitment to the Montessori philosophy and child-centered learning.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit on the floor, bend, or lift up to 30 lbs.
Active participation in classroom activities, both indoors and outdoors.
