We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Montessori methods, childhood development, and classroom management. Duties
Develop and implement engaging Montessori-based curricula tailored to the developmental needs of children.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and respect for each child's unique learning style.
Plan and execute daily lessons across various subjects including math, literacy, physical education, and social studies.
Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
Assess student progress through observations, standardized testing, and ongoing evaluations; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Support early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays.
Maintain detailed records of student development and communicate progress effectively with parents and staff.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in professional development activities related to early childhood education and Montessori pedagogy.
Ensure compliance with child welfare standards and safety regulations within the classroom setting.
Incorporate classroom management best practices to promote an organized, safe, and welcoming environment conducive to learning.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred.
Certification or training in Montessori teaching methods is required; additional experience with special education or early intervention is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management strategies.
Ability to develop curriculum aligned with Montessori standards as well as incorporate lesson planning skills for diverse learners.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and students' families.
Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement.
Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education.
