About Us

Earth Child Montessori School is dedicated to nurturing each child's natural curiosity, independence, and love of learning. We provide a warm, engaging environment where children are encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator/Montessori Teacher to join our team.

Position Summary

The Montessori Teacher plays a vital role in shaping the foundational years of a child's education. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and inspired to learn. You will guide children through hands-on Montessori lessons, encourage independent exploration, and support their natural curiosity.

The teacher is expected to foster growth in all areas of development--academic, social, emotional, and physical--while respecting the unique pace and personality of each child. You will prepare and maintain a thoughtfully organized Montessori environment, observe students closely to identify their needs, and design learning opportunities that build confidence and independence.

Collaboration and communication are also central to this role. You will work closely with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning atmosphere, and you will engage parents as valued partners in their child's education. This position requires patience, creativity, and a strong commitment to the Montessori philosophy of "following the child."

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain a prepared Montessori environment that encourages independence, exploration, and self-discipline. Present Montessori lessons and materials in alignment with the child's developmental stage. Observe and assess each child's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain open communication with parents through conferences, progress reports, and daily updates. Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum, events, and enrichment activities. Ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom atmosphere. Model kindness, patience, and respect consistent with Montessori principles.

Skills

Fluent in English speaking and writing. Experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable. Strong background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and resources efficiently. Time management skills to balance lesson planning, teaching responsibilities, and administrative tasks. Familiarity with computer operation and technology integration in the classroom setting. Proven writing skills for creating lesson plans, reports, and communication materials. Classroom experience that demonstrates effective teaching strategies and student engagement techniques. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives while working in a collaborative educational environment. We welcome candidates who are committed to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere where all students can thrive.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education background in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred). Montessori Certification (AMI/AMS or equivalent) for Early Childhood (3-6 years). Minimum 1-2 years of classroom teaching experience (Montessori setting preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
