Job Description

Western Heights Montessori Academy is a leading Montessori school with seven campuses across Oakville and Mississauga. We are seeking a dedicated Montessori Guide to join our Morrison campus in Oakville.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Guide the learning process for children by presenting Montessori lessons, fostering independence, and following each child's natural curiosity and developmental readiness. Prepare and maintain the classroom environment daily to ensure it is orderly, beautiful, and rich in purposeful Montessori materials that promote hands-on exploration and discovery. Observe children recording developmental milestones, interests, and progress in order to thoughtfully prepare individualized lessons and support each child's unique learning journey Encourage social and emotional growth by modeling Grace and Courtesy, supporting conflict resolution, and nurturing respect for self, others, and the environment. Facilitate outdoor learning and movement, spending at least two hours per day supporting children's physical development, gross motor skills, and connection to nature. Communicate regularly with families through written reports, parent meetings, and informal updates to ensure a strong partnership in the child's education. Collaborate with co-guides and assistants, maintaining a harmonious, professional team environment that reflects Montessori values. Ensure compliance with Ministry standards (CCEYA) and Montessori accreditation requirements (CCMA), while upholding the school's policies and procedures. Support and mentor student teachers and supply staff, modeling Montessori philosophy and classroom practices. Participate in professional growth opportunities including in-service training, workshops, and reflective practice sessions. Engage in school-wide community life, including open houses, cultural events, and celebrations that enrich the children's learning and connect families. Maintain classroom health and safety standards, including the care, organization, and sanitization of materials and environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:

Montessori diploma required ECE with Montessori experience is a strong asset Over three years of experience working with children Standard First Aid CPR C+ Criminal background check and immunization up to date Passion working with children
