Qualifications:
A diploma from a MACTE or AMI accredited training center
ECE designation, an asset but not required
Current and clear Criminal Reference & Vulnerable Sector Checks.
Valid CPR/ First Aid certification- Level C
Updated Immunization Record
Skills:
Passion for working with children
Can communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively individually and within a team setting
Possesses strong leadership and organizational skills
Experience with planning and implementing programs
French skills are an asset
Job Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a Montessori program for children
Meticulously manage the day-to- day operations of the classroom including, but not limited to: lesson instruction, daily recording, diapering, playground supervision, etc.
Maintain a hygienic, neat, prepared and organized environment consistent with the Montessori pedagogy
Develop effective relationships with parents and communicate with them daily
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
Demonstrate sound knowledge of all relevant sections of the Child Care & Early Years Act
