Responsibilities:



Provide administrative assistance to school staff, including filing, data entry, photocopying, and document preparation. Assist with special projects as assigned. Embody the Hopscotch Montessori philosophy, promoting a love for learning, non-judgment, respect for all families, inclusivity, critical thinking, patience, and other essential principles. Ability to provide exceptional service orientation to parents, students, and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Familiarity with the enrollment process and procedures, including scheduling tours, application reviews, child visits, and contract signing, is advantageous. Collaborate, cooperate, and build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents. Manage student and employee records, maintaining accurate attendance records, and ensuring compliance with local requirements. Fulfill assigned duties and responsibilities promptly and efficiently to contribute to the day-to-day operations of the school. Monitor and control access to the school premises to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors. Adhere to established protocols and procedures. Collaborate with the school leadership team to implement various initiatives and contribute to the school's growth.

Preferences and Requirements:



Montessori Certification (AMS or AMI preferred) A Baccalaureate Degree (preferably in Early Childhood Education or related field of study) Master's Degree in Early Childhood education preferred Minimum of two years experience as a teacher of children under 6 years old New York State Certified Teacher or have an equivalent certification from a public or private certifying or teacher accreditation organization or agency granted reciprocity by the NY State Department of Education. Study plan toward Teacher Certification Previous experience in a school environment or Montessori setting is a plus.
