Waterloo Montessori Kindergarten is a newly established Montessori school committed to providing a rich, engaging, and supportive learning environment for children. We are passionate about fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning through the Montessori approach. Our goal is to create a space where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Montessori teacher to join our growing community.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Montessori Teacher who is enthusiastic about working with children in a dynamic and innovative classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing the Montessori method, a deep understanding of child development, and a genuine passion for helping children develop into confident, independent learners.

Responsibilities

Lead a Montessori classroom, using the Montessori method to guide children's exploration and learning. Plan, prepare, and implement engaging lessons and activities that foster children's curiosity and growth. Observe and assess the individual needs and progress of each child, tailoring lessons accordingly. Create a warm, welcoming, and respectful classroom environment that encourages independence and collaboration. Maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on children's development and milestones. Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to ensure the success of the school and the overall growth of students. Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:

Montessori Diploma (AMI or MACTE preferred). 5 years of experience Experience teaching in a Montessori classroom setting. Strong knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Commitment to continued professional growth. First Aid/CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
