JOB PURPOSE

The Patient Room Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic environment and promoting patient comfort.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduation or equivalent. Must be physically able to work steadily at assigned tasks. Ability to attend work on a regular basis. Ability to perform the duties of the position. Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Patient Room Aide is responsible for:

Cleaning patient rooms including dusting, washing furniture, cleaning bathroom fixtures, picking up garbage and making beds Ordering and replenishing basic supplies Cleaning and disinfecting designated areas including isolation areas Ordering, folding, and sorting linen Delivering and picking up food trays and nourishments Assisting patients as directed by nursing staff Transporting or escorting patients
