Job Summary:

As a Mold Making Leader at our Windsor Mold Tooling facility, you will oversee the daily operations of the mold-making team, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety standards. You will lead, mentor, and develop team members while driving continuous improvement initiatives and managing budgets. Additionally, coordinate mold design, fabrication, and troubleshooting efforts to meet customer needs and project timelines.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the Mold Making team, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency, including:

+ Foster a strong culture of health and safety within the team.
+ Oversee scheduling, planning, and daily reporting of activities.
+ Supervise budget management, ensuring estimates align with actual financial performance.
+ Ensure quality standards are met throughout the entire project.
+ Establish clear performance goals for the team and provide guidance to help achieve them.
+ Inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best.
+ Leverage individual strengths and provide support for personal development in areas of improvement.
Provide leadership through ongoing training, development, performance management, and, when necessary, corrective actions. Lead efforts for continuous improvement across all areas of the business. Demonstrate strong teamwork, leadership, and mentoring skills to foster effective, productive teams and maintain high morale. Support both local and customer-site tryouts, ensuring troubleshooting and repairs of plastic injection molds are handled effectively. Maintain a reputation for integrity and trustworthiness within the organization. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the customer, product commodities, and specific project requirements. Lead by example in all responsibilities and functions. Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

A Mold Making Certificate is required. At least 10 years of hands-on mold making experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment. A minimum of 3 years of experience leading plastic injection mold manufacturing is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and interact with all levels of the team. Proven experience in leading teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing setting. Project management experience is a strong asset. Experience in evaluating manufacturing processes and implementing improvements is highly valued.
