Windsor Tooling 5245 Burke Street Oldcastle, ON is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:

Mold Maker

The Mold Maker or designate is responsible for participating in all activities of the tool build process as assigned by the Mold Maker Supervisor in accordance with cost, quality and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Receiving direction from Mold Maker Supervisor for all tool builds, repairs and engineering changes.
• Completing tasks as per daily line up from Mold Maker Supervisor in order to meet assigned timelines.
• Ability to safely operate all required machinery, presses and equipment in order to complete tasks as assigned.
• Reading and understanding basic part prints.
• Ability to square small components including water detail.
• Grinding core pin detail to customer tolerance.
• Plugging and testing water system in blocks.
• Accurately spot components and tools
• Plumbing hydraulic systems on molds.
• Properly sizing and fitting slides.
• Trouble shooting during tool build and/or tryouts as necessary.
• Attending and participating in plant communication meetings.
• Accurately completes activities for all first tryout activities as assigned.
• Accurate and timely completion of daily time tickets for job costing and labour hours.
• To follow organizational codes, values, policies, practices, procedures and instructions in the areas of quality, environment health & safety, security and business operations.
• To support, implement, maintain and promote Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) Initiatives, as required by related Organization security management systems procedures

MINIMUM EDUCATION/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a high school diploma and Mold Maker Certificate or equivalent work experience, with emphasis on injection mold manufacturing.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Five (5) years\' work experience as a Mold Maker.
• Strong understanding of tool process
• Sound knowledge of plastic part manufacturing and tooling

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform well in high pressure situations
• Capable of independent travel to, from and within designated regions
• Access to reliable transportation
• Skill set checklist required to determine technical ladder to better reflect pay within role where more than one level exists
