Overview

We are seeking a skilled Moldmaker to join our manufacturing team, located in Moncton Newbrunswick Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining and mechanical knowledge, with experience in operating CNC machines and using CAD software. This role involves the design, fabrication, and assembly of molds used in various manufacturing processes. The Moldmaker will work closely with engineers and other production staff to ensure high-quality output that meets specifications.

Responsibilities

Design and fabricate molds using SolidWorks. Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes for precise machining of mold components. Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy in mold dimensions. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand mold specifications and requirements. Conduct assembly of mold components, ensuring proper fit and functionality. Perform regular maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process. Apply mathematical skills for calculations related to machining processes and mold design.

Requirements

Proven experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, specifically as a Moldmaker or similar role. Willing to relocate to Moncton Newbrunswick. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software applications. Strong understanding of CNC programming for milling machines and lathes. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and machinery. Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and drawings effectively. Strong math skills for accurate measurements and calculations in the fabrication process. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
