Our team of nearly 60 teachers needs more piano teachers. Piano teachers, while fun and relatable, need also be properly educated and have a strong grasp of music theory.

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Piano teachers should possess a minimum of:

University degree in music (or other professional training)

Classical teachers benefit from RCM Grade 10 or higher. Modern Piano teachers benefit from post-secondary jazz or pop/rock training

2 years of prior experience working at a reputable music school in Canada is a major asset

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Warm and caring

Encouraging and gentle

Experience working with younger children

Infectious outgoing personality

Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Additional experience working with children (camps, coaching etc) is an asset

AVAILABILITY

Part-time applicants must have availability on at least TWO of the following days: Mondays to Fridays (afternoon and evening), Saturdays (morning and afternoon only). Full-time must be available to work at least 5 of the above shifts. Preference given to teachers who are able to teach on Wednesdays.

BONUS

Preference will be given to applicants who include a cover letter expressing their love for teaching music to young children and indicating their current availability

Pay is dependent on an applicant having completed a University degree in music. We welcome non-university graduates at a rate of $25/hr.
