About the role

When you join the Avery Family Farms team as a

Modern Farmer

, you'll be part of the crew that produces fresh head lettuce year-round. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the taste, quality, and freshness of our product while supporting the daily care of our plants and farm facility.

We're currently looking to add new

afternoon and evening shifts (approximately 12:00-8:00 PM or 2:00-10:00 PM)

to our team. These shifts will primarily focus on

packaging and sanitation

, helping to ensure our facility and product meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.

What you'll do

Ship and pack our crops to prepare for customer shipment focusing on quality Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S methodology Perform sanitation tasks to ensure a food-safe environment and operational readiness Be a leader in using personal protective equipment and following workforce and food safety practices Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistent product quality Operate as part of a collaborative team and contribute to process improvement projects but be able to work independently as needed Work with integrated technology and operating systems to support efficient production Assist with facility setup, organization, and equipment upkeep

Practices safe work habits in a food-safe environment at all times Self-starter who takes initiative and works with enthusiasm Maintains a strong work pace and attention to detail over extended periods Able to take direction and adapt quickly to changes in process or priority Dependable and able to commit to a consistent schedule Capable of lifting and moving up to 30 pounds Must be at least 18 years old
