Who We Need

Nomis Solutions is seeking an exceptional Modeling Analyst to build best-in-class analytical models for our clients. You are curious, collaborative, structured, detail oriented and a good team player. What you will do

Develop predictive models. You will develop predictive models to forecast consumer demand for various financial services products which are used as part of our software to price billions of dollars every month. You will ensure health of statistical models through a regimented model validation process and confirm models delivered through the Nomis platform are performant and applicable through strong Internal Model Risk Management. You will work with client Model Risk Management through the model acceptance process.

Earn trust. You will foster trusted working relationships internally and with our clients, understand their objectives and challenges and build models to solve them. You will translate unstructured business problems into actionable analyses for non-technical teams. You will package findings into market facing communications that showcase our value and entice prospects to purchase Nomis offerings.

Be a subject matter expert. You will develop your knowledge of our solutions and the banking industry. You will research, design, and prototype new analytical product offerings for our customers.

What you bring

Analytical Modeling Experience. You have 1-3 years of experience in the development and implementation of econometric and forecasting models. Prior experience in financial services developing statistical models for forecasting, credit risk, or model validation a plus. Familiarity with price response modeling a plus. Ph.D. or M.S. in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, economics, operations research, engineering, management analytics or management science or relevant professional experience as a data scientist.

Competency in R and SQL. You are comfortable utilizing R and SQL to perform analysis on large datasets. You have experience with linear/logistic regression, decision trees, clustering techniques, experimental test and design, and ML algorithms.

Interpersonal skills. You thrive in an autonomous role and are also a valuable team member. You have an authentic and engaging communication style. You understand the value of empathy and are an active listener that seeks to understand prior to opining. You naturally understand when to compromise and when to hold firm, all in a way that deepens the strength of your relationships with others.

Vision. You have a strategic and forward-thinking mindset which will enable you to anticipate the needs of our customers and consistently deliver beyond their expectations. You are always striving to grow and improve your knowledge and skillset.
