We are currently seeking a Mobility Van Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for passengers with mobility needs. This role is ideal for someone who is safety focused and compassionate to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for all passengers.

Hours: days, evenings, weekends as required
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a mobility van in accordance with all traffic laws, provincial regulations and company policies
Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including the use of ramps, lifts, and securement systems
Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices properly to ensure passenger safety.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of vehicle and communicate with management on being up to date with service requirements
Provide courteous, patient, and professional service to all passengers
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any concerns promptly
Maintain accurate trip logs and required documentation
Communicate effectively with staff and passengers regarding schedules or delays
Follow all safety procedures, including emergency and infection prevention protocols
Interaction with individuals with diverse mobility and support needs
All workers strongly recommended to be immunized as a condition of employment.
Qualifications:
Valid Class 4 MB driver's license at minimum
Clean driving record (Driver's abstract required)
High school diploma
May be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
First Aid & CPR certification or willing to obtain
Experience driving larger vehicles or mobility vans is an asset
Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, patient, and compassionate demeanor
Ability to work independently and follow schedules
Successful completion of a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check (as applicable)
Flexible shifts may include weekdays, evenings, or weekends
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform light to moderate physical tasks.
Ability to solve basic problems that may arise on the job such as traffic or route changes, weather delays
