MOBILE SECURITY

division is currently seeking experienced, highly motivated and hard-working individuals to join our mobile/tactical team!!

Shift timing can and will vary between 6pm-9am. Candidates must be available during these times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing mobile guard and protection services to project a security presence, which may include operating a vehicle to perform patrol, inspection, and/or incident response services; maintains radio or other communications contact with Dispatch, office or base of operations to report status or incidents, or to request additional assistance or response.*
Checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons; inspects buildings, grounds, and security devices; monitors and sets security devices.*
Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.*
Prepares logs or reports as required for patrol route; writes and/or types reports and/or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and act as required.*
Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required.*
Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures established for assignment, by the company, or through training or certification.*
Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required.*

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a current and valid Alberta Security License Must possess a valid Class 4 or 5 Non-GDL driver's license and a clean driver's abstract with ability to be commercially insured Should have a minimum of 2 - 3 years Mobile/Tactical Security experience Use of Force Training (CTSS/PPCT) is MANDATORY Knowledgeable in online reporting system Level C - 1st Aid/CPR/AED current certification Superior verbal de-escalation skills (NVCI definite asset) Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written a MUST Attention to detail and comprehensive report writing ability Be willing and able to keep up to the physical demands of the job. Available to work weekends Available to work statutory and other holidays Use smartphone software to access post orders, directions, and do reports

LICENCE/CERTIFICATION:

ABST - Alberta Security Guard Licence - mandatory Standard 1st Aid - Level C w/AED/CPR Use of Force - PPCT/CTSS or equivalent will be recognized AGLC Certifications - ProTech - ProServe - SellSafe

ADDITIONAL ASSETS INCLUDE:

Knowledge of and familiar with the SSIA (Security Services & Investigations Act) Experience and knowledge of Loss Prevention & Asset Protection Comfortable and experienced with approaching/apprehending abusive & aggressive persons. Confident and ability to exercise Powers of Arrests Strong willingness to constantly attend training courses and improve skills. Ability to attend operations and client meetings. Liaison and work with various law enforcement agencies
