We are currently seeking an experienced permanent, full-time

Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)

to join our Mobile X-Ray team based out of our Health Clinic at 7404 - 139 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Healthcare Services, you will be responsible for providing mobile x-ray services to clients in the community, ensuring high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner. The position requires maintaining mobile x-ray equipment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Hours of work are 8:00am to 4:15pm from Tuesday to Saturday (Sunday and Monday off).




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




Perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. Interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review. Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Adhere to all Acts, Regulations, and policies of St. Michael's HealthCare Services and ensure compliance with Radiation Health and Safety. Provide patient-centered care and maintain regulatory and administrative standards. Promote mobile x-ray services by delivering excellent customer service. Clean and maintain mobile x-ray equipment and client contact surfaces. Assess client needs and adjust procedures as required.

EDUCATION:




Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology. Current registration in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists. Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.



All successful candidates must have, prior to start date:




A current and clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date. A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.

Experience
