De Beers Group has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated individual to support the Mine Operations team at the Gahcho Ku\xc3\xa9 Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm. The point of pick up for this position is in Calgary, AB or Yellowknife, NT.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining up-to-date filing systems (SHEOPS forms, Maintenance records, inspection, & operators reports from crews);
  • Tracking departmental leave and entering exception entries in DayForce;
  • Organizing and scheduling meetings and site visits, preparing agendas and taking minutes;
  • Coordinating travel and related accommodation arrangements;
  • Maintaining the document control system and ensuring it\'s up-to-date;
  • Entering and tracking status of purchase requisitions;
  • Generating and submitting expense reports;
  • Keeping communication boards up-to-date;
  • Printing, updating, and closing out SAP plant maintenance work orders; and
  • Other administrative duties as required.
Reporting to the Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner, role is based in the Mobile Maintenance department. This is a site-based position with a 14 days in/14 days out rotation and is a temporary 12-month contract position.

Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to Members of the Deninu Ku\xc3\xa9, Lutsel K\'e Dene First Nation, North Slave M\xc3\xa9tis Alliance, Northwest Territory M\xc3\xa9tis Nation, Tlicho Government, or Yellowknives Dene First Nation, followed by non-indigenous residents of the Northwest Territories;
  • Certificate in Office Administration, or equivalent;
  • Three or more years\' experience in a similar administrative role;
  • Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment; and
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
What is Beneficial for this Role:
  • Experience with SAP and DayForce; and
  • Experience working at a remote mine site.
