Job Description

We are looking for a committed and hands-on Generator & Light Tower Service Technician to oversee all service activities, taking ownership of customer issues and ensuring timely resolutions. Key Responsibilities will include:

Performs assembly, maintenance, and electrical/diesel repair service on both new and customer owned equipment according to PDI checklists and other requirements.

Tests, inspects, repairs, adjusts, and maintains equipment to ensure proper function and quality standards

Supports equipment demonstrations for customers as required by sales.

Consulting manufacturer's manuals, service instructions, and circuit diagrams to determine test, calibration and maintenance procedures for equipment.

Assisting with the upkeep and cleanliness of Axiom's yard and facilities

Responding by telephone, in person or e-mail to customer technical inquiries, issues and concerns in an effective, timely and professional manner. Liaises with manufacturing support for more difficult issues as required.

Fitting, aligning and attaching electrical/mechanical components.

Conducting inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment.

Recording all service activity, parts and consumables used. Records this information on the customer/shop work order and advises admin staff for billing purposes.

Testing equipment for efficiency and make adjustments when necessary.

Travels to perform installation or repair work at customer locations as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

Shop Safety

Mechanically minded with 3-5 years' experience in mechanics, electrical troubleshooting, and engine repair.

Ability to read, understand, and work off of electrical diagrams.

Experience and certification in operating forklifts.

Practical skills in troubleshooting and repairing generators/light towers

Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Applications

Experience providing customer service and support

Excellent communication (phone & emails) skills, including de-escalation

Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing

Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership

Hours of work:

7:00 - 5:00 pm
